But now I can testify that my mac has been working perfectly ever since Javier fixed it 5 months ago. I was able to collect my fixed Mac before leaving the country for several months - hence the delayed review. I was and am very grateful to Javier for looking after me. Even though the glitch turned out to be the brand new SSD which was outside of his control, Javier assumed responsibility of the situation and replaced the faulty SSD with a brand new one, at no cost to me. He charged me no more than he said he would: the cost of the new SSD and his very reasonable labor for installing it. Unable to get back down to his office 40 minutes away, Javier delivered my fixed computer to my home for a nominal fee on the 26th. I was in his Hopewell office the next day dropping my computer off for a new hard drive. Javier was the first person to return my call and the only one able to help. After spending about 4 hours on the phone with Apple Support just to realize I wasn't going to be able to take the next remedial steps I started looking for local tech support near Rhinebeck.
